Updated Strike Action Information

Please find below updated information from the EA regarding strike action to take place next week.

The Education Authority (EA) has warned of expected disruption to school services as a result of industrial action notified by non-teaching unions.

This action will consist of strike action as follows:

Non-Teaching Trade Unions

Unite the Union have notified that they will be engaging all members in strike action from:

00:01 on 20 May 2024 to 23.59 on 22 May 2024

00:01 on 3 June 2024 to 23.59 on 4 June 2024

GMB have notified that they will be engaging all members in strike action from:

00:01 on the 20 May 2024 to 23:59 on 21 May 2024

00:01am on the 3 June 2024 to 23.59 on 4 June 2024

NIPSA have notified that they will be engaging members who work as EA Bus Drivers in strike action from:

20 May 2024 to 22 May 2024

3 June 2024 to 4 June 2024

The EA is working with schools, youth services and partners to minimise any disruption to children and young people caused by the industrial action. However, despite this, there will be disruption to some services.
