Tree Planting
We were fortunate to receive fifty trees from The Woodland Trust. They included Wild Cherry, Downy Birch, Rowan, Field Maple and Goat Willow. The Primary One and Primary Seven children along with the Eco-Council members planted the trees around our school grounds. As well as helping to reduce our carbon footprint, the trees will help to purify the air and sustain wildlife. The children were amazed to learn that one tree produces enough oxygen for four people! We look forward to seeing these trees grow over the coming years.
Many thanks to our own Mr McConville and to Mr Ciaran Breen who helped us with digging, planting and their expert advice over the course of the day.
