This week we read The Enormous Turnip story. We heard how the turnip grew so big that the farmer, his wife, the dog, the cat and the mouse all had to pull together to get the turnip out of the ground.
We looked at a turnip in the class. It had a rough skin which needs to be peeled off before we can chop it up and cook and eat it.
We tasted some cooked turnip also. It tasted lovely!
