Strike Action: Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th June
Planned strike action by Non-Teaching staff is due to take place on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th of next week.
Due to a considerable reduction in classroom assistants, supervisory staff and cleaning staff, who are engaging in industrial action, a decision has been made to close the school from 12.30pm on both days.
A comprehensive risk assessment has been completed and agreed with our Board of Governors.
This situation also has implications for those pupils who have 1-1 SEN assistance, as this provision will not be available for the duration of strike action on these dates.
Those pupils in receipt of free school meals will be facilitated in our canteen as normal and we ask that all other children bring a packed lunch, where they will be supervised in classrooms by their class teachers. Primary 1-3/Rang 1-3 children will go home at 12.15pm and Primary 4-7/Rang 4-7 children at 12.25pm on both days.
We are sorry for the short notice, but I trust you will appreciate that confirmation of these arrangements could only be shared following updated information re: strike action.
As always, we are grateful for your co-operation and support.
Yours sincerely,
Anne Marie Coleman
