During our active learning we retold the story of Red Fox Dances. We discussed the beginning, middle and end of the story. We then retold the story. Some of us wrote our own sentences for each picture, some of us worked in pairs to sort the jumbled sentences for each picture and some of us worked in a small group to sort the jumbled sentences correctly. We recalled our knowledge of sentence structure to help use. We looked for the upper case to start the sentence, full stop to end, space between each word and checked does the sentence make sense.
