School Uniform
3rd Apr 2025
In recent months we have noticed a decline in standards in the wearing of our school uniform.
While our P7/R7 pupils have the privilege of wearing their Leavers’ hoodies for the final terms, it should be noted that PE uniform is ONLY to be worn on days when PE teaching is taking place.
In addition, many items are creeping in which are NOT uniform, such as other brands of sportswear, many not even black.
A particular issue is the wearing of very “short” shorts by girls in KS2. This matter has been raised and remarked upon by various members of both the school and wider community as being inappropriate.
Once the summer weather arrives, pupils may wish to change to summer uniform – checked red and white summer dress or skirt / school trousers or shorts and short sleeve white shirt. When PE shorts are being worn, particularly if they are getting small, we ask that the girls wear black mid-thigh cycling shorts underneath.
Thank you for your co-operation and support in this matter.
