Safer Internet Day 2024
As part of Safer Internet Day we had an assembly on how to stay safe online. The internet is amazing when used safely and correctly but it is important to be aware of the dangers; smart and safe choices can be made if needed. Sharing information, online bullying, gaming as well as making and communicating with friends on the internet were some of the issues discussed. We learned what we should do if we see something concerning or worrying.
There are three simple rules to follow if something upsets us online:
Stop – stop what you are doing, do not click or reply to any messages
Close – close down the laptop, put the tablet or phone down
Tell – tell a trusted adult
Attached are some posters containing helpful hints to discuss with your child about how to stay safe online.
