To say conditions weren't ideal for running today would be an absolute understatement. Fourteen boys and girls made the trip to Portadown Rugby Club this morning to compete in the "Flahavan's Porridge Primary School Cross Country League” event today. Mucked to the eyeballs and drenched to the skin the children ran their hearts out and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you to our Healthy Kidz coach Emma who came along to help everyone, including Mr McComb and Mrs Barlow, warm up, stretch and run the 1000m course. She even called to school afterwards to give our athletes some well-deserved jellies. I heard it said that if the children enjoyed running in the conditions presented to us today, they'll run in any weather! Well done everyone.
