Making Kwanzaa Benne Cakes
6th Mar 2025
As part of our 'Amazing Africa' topic, we had a go at making Kwanzaa Benne Cakes. These are cakes which originated in West Africa and are eaten at the Kwanzaa festival every year. Benne means sesame seeds and they are eaten for good luck. Let's hope we have lots of luck after baking and devouring them today :)
