We have been busy making fat cakes and bird feeders to help keep our birds well fed throughout the winter months. We made a mixture of lard, seeds and nuts and put it in yogurt pots to cool and harden. We hung the fat cakes on trees around our school for the birds to feast on when they are feeling hungry.
