Literacy and Numeracy Parent Workshop

On Wednesday 16^th November St. John the Baptist Primary School/Bunscoil Eoin Baiste will host a Literacy and Numeracy Information Evening for parents/guardians in the school hall from 7 pm – 9 pm.

We are delighted to have the support of Tina Adair,’ Early Years Numeracy Consultant’, who will concentrate on the importance of creating a positive environment for maths. This will be followed by Kate O'Hanlon, ‘SELB Senior Adviser for Language and Literacy’, who will focus on supporting children’s reading at home. There will be a short break for tea/coffee between speakers.

It is hoped that as many parents/guardians as possible will attend and benefit from being able to access a range of strategies which can be used at home to develop and support children’s learning.

The workshop will be relevant to all parents/guardians, from Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 2 and it should prove to be an informative and enjoyable evening.

To facilitate seating arrangements and refreshments we ask that you complete the information sheet sent home with pupils if you are able to attend. Please return this reply slip to your child’s class teacher by Tuesday 25^th October.
