Important Update re: Covid 19
Based on the increasing numbers of confirmed Covid cases across various classes in school, we have been advised to ask parents to continue to be vigilant and not to send pupils into school if they are unwell.
As of today, a few classes have been identified as a cluster group and where this is the case, the PHA are advising that all children in those classes have a lateral flow test before coming into school tomorrow. Those classes identified in this category will have a message posted on Google Classroom recommending PHA advice is followed.
You will be aware that as of Friday 21st January the guidance for isolation will change and will move from 7 days to 5, provided the child/adult is symptom free and has had 2 negative test results. In the case of the new 5 day rule, a test on day 5 is required and on the morning of day 6 in order to go back to school.
Please see below a link to NI Direct Covid 19 Guidance which may provide further clarity on all these matters.
