Important Information for Parents of P7 Children.

The EA has opened its online portal for Post Primary school applications today, Tuesday 28th January at 12pm. Parents using the portal for the first time will need to create an account with an email address and then log in to email to verify this account.


You will also need to upload a scan/photo of your child’s birth certificate during the application. Please note, some schools may ask for additional documentation such as proof of being oldest child (this can be confirmed by a letter from current school)

• please provide sufficient notice for any requests.

When selecting your child’s PRIMARY school be sure it is St John the Baptist, Portadown or Bunscoil Eoin Baiste as appropriate.

It is ESSENTIAL that you state more than one preference for your child:
• some of the schools can be oversubscribed or may be allocating places based on transfer results and there will be no guarantee of receiving a place, so further choices must be considered.

When completing the reasons for choice, we advise that you simply use the language of the admissions criteria (all available on EA website) as these are the ONLY facts which can be considered.
