After learning the Humpty Dumpty rhyme we decided to carry out our own experiments. We wrapped eggs in cotton wool, paper, polystyrene and cling film to see which materials would protect the eggs the best when they fell off the wall. The children loved doing this activity and correctly predicted that the polystyrene would keep the egg from breaking.
