Home learning is designed to complement a child’s school education. It helps children practise and apply the knowledge they have learned in school.

Since COVID 19 Google Classroom has been our main platform for home learning. As a school, this has mostly served us well but we are also very aware of the challenges that it can present to families.

Therefore, from Friday 11th November, all classes will be moving back to paper copies for home learning activities. However, in order for pupils to maintain and practise acquired ICT skills we ask you to note the following:

  • P4/5 and R4/5 children will complete a task on Google Classroom once a fortnight.          
  • P6/7 and R6/7 children will complete a task every week.

We are currently reviewing our Home Learning Policy.

Google Classroom will still be used as a form of communication for class messages by teachers. Should any parent wish to speak to a teacher regarding an issue, please telephone or make an appointment via the school office.
