Hello from Mr. Quinn
Hello boys and girls.
I hope that you and your families are all well and keeping safe.
I’m finding it very strange not going into school to see you all everyday. I am missing you all so much. I hope that you are all being very good for whoever is minding you whilst you are off school.
I also hope that you are working hard and trying your best with your home learning packs. Don’t forget to keep checking the school website for some other educational ideas. There are lots of activities, games and fun challenges being uploaded every day to keep you busy.
Make sure that you keep learning your tables and also keep up with your reading. I have been checking your Accelerated Reading scores online and it’s great to see so many of you still reading and scoring so well in your AR quizzes. I have also enjoyed reading some of the wonderful articles that the P6 boys and girls have had published on Newsdesk.
I would love to see and hear about some other things you have been getting up to, so if you haven’t already, get mums, dads or whoever is minding you to send some photos into the school website.
Although I do miss seeing you everyday, it is nice to get to spend some extra time with my own girls, Méabh and Eimear. Although the girls are still too young for home schooling as such, they have also been enjoying some extra learning at home. They love to exercise, hear stories, play counting games, bake buns (yes I am learning too 🤣) and you might not believe this but I have even let them do some painting 😂😂😂. The girls are certainly keeping me busy and I sometimes joke that the two of them are harder to mind than the 31 wonderful boys and girls in my class.
Happy birthday to Rian, Megan, Fionn and Anna, who have birthdays coming up over the next week or two. I hope you all have a lovely day celebrating, albeit in strange circumstances. Maybe we can have a big joint celebration when we return to school again. 🥳
Keep working hard and hopefully I will get to see you all soon. I hope that you and your families have a lovely Easter.
Take care and keep safe.
Mr. Quinn
