In our Numeracy lesson we were learning about weight. The children thought about and named objects that are heavy and light. They compared 2 objects by holding them and deciding which one was the heaviest and which was the lightest. We had a selection of different-sized items wrapped in Christmas paper. The children predicted which one they thought would be the heaviest but after passing each object around lots of boys and girls changed their minds! They learnt that the biggest object isn't always going to be the heaviest and that the smallest object isn't always going to be the lightest.
