To celebrate our patron saint, St. Patrick and Seachtain na Gaeilge, in addition to further promoting our school’s ‘Eco message’, we are having a ‘Green Day’ in school on Wednesday 16th March.
Pupils are encouraged to wear something green for our celebrations. This could be a hair decoration, some shamrock, a t-shirt, jumper or even socks.
Our P7/R7 pupils will have the opportunity to visit St. John the Baptist’s College on this date to experience some of the Eco projects they are undertaking and all pupils will engage in discussions and activities to reinforce the importance of the ‘Green’ message as well as participating in traditional St Patrick’s Day festivities.
To celebrate Ireland and the beauty of the earth around us, pupils might like to draw or post photographs to Google Classroom of their favourite place in nature.
