Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe the summer is nearly at an end but here we are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school next week. As always, if anyone has any questions when arriving at school, please do not hesitate in asking me. If I don’t have the answer immediately, I will find someone who does!
Here are the arrangements for the return to school:
As previously the gates will be opened at 8:45am.
For Wednesday and Thursday, 30 and 31 August, the children will be in school for a half day (12pm).
(R2 have received separate arrangements regarding Wednesday 30 August.)
P1 and R1 will finish at 11am while the older children will leave at 12pm on both days.
On Friday 1 September children from P/R2 to P/R7 will be in school for the full day (8:45 – 2:00); P/R1 will finish at 11am.
For our brand new P1 and R1 children and parents, the P1 teachers will await you in the front playground at 8:45 where the children will line up before the fun begins! Our R1 children should make their way along the bunscoil/naoiscoil footpath to Bean Ui Lorcain’s room to their beautiful new classroom.
Please refer to previous messages posted on the website regarding free school meals and uniform grants. We encourage any parent who is entitled to apply to do so as soon as possible please; this is even the case if your child will take a lunch to school.
