📚 World Book Day 2023 📚
World Book Day takes place on Thursday 2nd March with the emphasis on making it ‘Your Own World Book Day’. We hope you’ll join us as we come together to celebrate this special day in school.
On Monday 27th February we will be hosting a ‘Book Swap’. We are asking families to please drop off any unwanted books into the boxes provided in the School Entrance Foyer. Whether or not you’ve got a book to bring along to swap, we would be delighted for you to come and browse and find something you might like to read. All books collected will then become part of our outdoor Reading Area.
To make World Book Day in school extra special we are encouraging all children to share their favourite books by dressing up. This can be done in one of two ways:
- Dress up as your favourite book character and take your book to school to share why this is so
or
- Wear your pyjamas or lounge wear to school and listen while teachers read their favourite stories.
We will have lots of fun activities taking place in classes throughout the day.
Remember to also redeem your £1 book token from your nearest participating bookseller from 16th February to 26th March 2023. In addition, you can check out the World Book Day Family Hub for more activities to complete at home.
We are really looking forward to celebrating World Book Day as a school community.
Thank you for your continued co-operation.
Happy reading!!
